THE LISTING STUDIO GUIDE

A clear path from item to listing.

This free preview prepares listings locally in your browser. Start with the information you know, check the result, and publish through your chosen marketplace.

1. Record the facts

Create an item and enter its name, category, condition, price, and quantity. Add brand, model, specifications, defects, and included or excluded accessories when you know them. Do not enter uncertain details as facts. Save the form before moving on.

Private inventory references, costs, and notes stay out of listing exports. They are included in workspace backups. Use a general pickup area rather than a private home address.

Compare prices you found

Add manual comparison records with a source link, observed date, condition, currency, price, and shipping charge. Mark each as an asking price or a reported sold price. The summary includes only records in the chosen date window with the same condition and currency as your item.

Midpoints use item price plus shipping. Asking and reported sold amounts remain separate. For an even number of records, the two central amounts are averaged and rounded to the nearest cent. You verify each source; this is not live market research or an appraisal.

2. Prepare your photos

Add up to 12 JPEG, PNG, or WebP images per item, each up to 12 MB and 24 megapixels, with neither edge above 12,000 pixels. Animated formats and other file types are rejected. Photos are decoded on your device, rotated according to their orientation metadata, and saved as JPEG at a maximum 2048-pixel edge. Transparent areas become white.

Choose Adjust to crop, rotate, or add white square padding. Your original prepared photo remains available for later edits. Describe each photo and use Move earlier to change its position; the first photo is the cover. Save descriptions before continuing.

Camera metadata is removed during normalization. Visible labels, addresses, or other private details in a photo remain visible unless you crop them out. Original uploaded files are not retained by the workspace; keep your own originals elsewhere.

3. Compose and edit your copy

Choose a title-length limit and select Compose from my facts. The title and description are assembled from your recorded details without model calls or invented claims. Edit the result to suit the item and destination platform.

Changing item facts makes existing copy require another check. Recompose it or confirm that your edited copy reflects the current facts. Save the copy, then open Review & export.

4. Review a fixed version

Review the full title, description, price, condition, and photos. Confirm all four checks and enter a reviewer name. A reviewed version freezes its public content and photo references. Later changes to the working item do not silently change earlier reviewed versions.

Reviewer names are self-reported and kept in your private history. A content fingerprint detects changes to a saved version; it does not prove product authenticity or verified identity.

What you download

These files are prepared listings, not proof of publication. You are responsible for checking accuracy, permitted categories, image requirements, and other destination rules before posting.

Keep your work

The preview stores up to 100 items, 300 reviewed versions, and 150 MB of prepared photos in this browser. Device storage limits may be lower. There is no account or cloud sync in the preview.

Download a workspace backup regularly. It contains both public listing work and private inventory fields, comparison records, review history, and all referenced prepared photos. Restore accepts unmodified Listing Studio ZIP backups up to 220 MB, verifies the records and photo bytes, and asks before replacing your current workspace.

Large review histories are split safely inside the backup without dropping versions or shortening text. Use an updated Listing Studio to open large backups; earlier versions may not support them. You can cancel backup preparation or restore validation before replacing your workspace. Keep the complete ZIP together and protect it as private data.

If a save fails, the previous saved workspace is left intact. Keep a backup of unsaved work before reloading. Conflicting saves from two tabs are rejected. Clearing the workspace removes local items and photos across open tabs; it does not delete backups already downloaded to your device.

What is still in development?

Email/password and Google accounts, cloud sync, direct marketplace connections, and subscription or one-time purchases require additional implementation and integration testing. This preview offers local preparation without paid sales or a full-release claim.
